Mallory

My plan for Mallory’s biography quilt thus far is shown below (the text will not be on the quilt; it is just there to label the blocks so I know what is what). Underneath the large graphic, I have the block names and details listed. Some of those details may not make sense to anyone but me.

In my mind, the blocks blend together better. If the blocks were smaller and there were more of them, I think that would help them blend together. However, I am keeping the size at 12″ and I am stopping after 18 blocks, so it is what it is. Also, I really want to shift the blocks around to distribute colors/patterns but the order of the blocks is more important to me than tweaking the block placement purely for aesthetics.

Past Block: “Tree of Life” ?

I am not certain I will use the “Tree of Life” block to represent the past/family but I think it could work. The tree can represent the family tree and each leaf could have a different motif in it.
